    ANOTHER charge coil...GONE

    Any ideas? The only thing left is the Rad flywheel, unless it is a leaky front seal doing who knows what.

    Fresh Riva CDI, low hour front cover from another 'ski, new rectfier, all grounds checked and electrical box has its own ground to the stinger.

    I am gonna pull the flywheel tomorrow.

    J-me when we talked the other night, I thought about it, is the RAD, wobbling, causing the charge coil to be struck, going to ground while running, shorting it out, maybe high RPM, can you run a dial indicator for run out? turning over by hand,.just a thought???,..............

    We have a winner!

    My theory is that my defective blue Riva box took out the first several charge coils. There was no contact whatsoever to the stator assembly.

    As soon as I pulled the cover this time, I could see some metal bits and signs of contact.

    WOW!!!!!. at least you found it quick....even though I run the RIVA flywheel, I think the stockers work pretty good...cheap also..................well with your second job.the parts should not be hard to find..............

    This thing is killin' me!

    Pulled the magnum pump out to have the impeller repitched, and it's ugly!

    Salt water is a bitch! Even after you flush and lube.

    Looks like it's getting a 99 pump for a speed run before the motor comes out.

    Holy cow J-me...before you put that fly back in, you might want to send it to RAD and let him true it up. What did you do to that Skat pump? Man, you are brutal on skis.

    Scrap guy is getting it; note the cracks.

    It's that week or 2 of surf riding in Jersey every year that ate that pump up.

    I just saw the cracks J-Me...wow, they had issues with the GPR flies that would obliterate upon first rides.
