Good service
Just a quick line for UK based skiers. It can be very hit & miss finding anyone to do engineering work on skis in the UK, so thought I'd pass on what seems to be a good firm. I damaged the threads on my Skatrak impeller trying to get it off the old shaft I was replacing, and tried to find the correct tap to repair it. No one could supply one in UK, so I called JETSHED in Sheffield, and they did the job for me for £20 plus carriage etc. I sent it on Saturday, and they rang me on the Monday to get my card details as it was already repaired. It was delivered back to me, fully packed and insured, on the Tuesday
! They can repair lots of driveshaft related problems, including stripped splines both male and female etc. plus lots of other engineering solutions. I haven't tried them for anything else yet, but would feel confident to use them if needed again. If anyone else has good (or bad) experiences, don't forget to post on GH, as it helps us all avoid the cowboys! Cheers, Dave
