    Price for new FZS/FZR?

Looking to pull the trigger on a new FZS and looking for what people are selling them for. I believe they are $13,600 but have nver paid full price for anything new. Additionally it is winter. Is $12.5K out the door realistic? I am in Northern California (San Jose, CA) if that helps.

OK. How much was the trailer alone? I would assume $1,000 or so.

I can get a 2011 FZS for 13,200 OTD. Seems about right. 350 miles away.

You might want to see if you could find a new 2009 or 2010 FZS. New 2012 models will be coming in soon, so dealers want to move any old inventory.

+1 - Especially since the 2009-2012 models are basically the same except a different color..

If you're looking to buy a 2012 model. Your best bet this time of year is a boat show. The price is usually combined with an extended warranty. Either 2 or 4 year, depending on what yamaha has going on this year. Once the shows have passed and spring hits. The prices go up until around september when the season is ending and they want to move inventory.

For the most part, not much has changed since 09 models with the FZ ski's. With the exception of colors, the supercharger clutch and corrosion treatment on engine parts. So you can't really go wrong with any of them. If you can find an 09-11 new leftover for a good price. You can still buy an extended warranty for 4 years if you choose from any dealer in the U.S. Doesn't have to be the dealer you bought the ski from. If you check out the internet. You can find some dealers offering the extended for $650ish. You have 1 year from your take delivery date to purchase the extended warranty.

I'll be hitting the boat show on feb 4th. I'll see what the best deal for the 2012 model that my dealer is offering. You can use that info in your search for either a 2012 model or how much you should spend on a leftover 09-11, based on what the 2012 would cost.

You're getting good advice here; buy a leftover and save thousands.
You can usually find a dusty 09-11 model sitting in a showroom with zero hours for under $10K plus tax and trailer, it's a no-brainer.
Just get it all in writing before you make the drive, and make sure they include that Y.E.S. warranty.
In this economy it's a buyer's market for toys like this, trust me.

You guys in the States get some great prices on new skis. Our dealers out here I think are trying harder but I think the manufacturers need to support the dealers more in Australia, prices are still up there in the high bracket.
