    Wrecked 09 FZR

    Hey everyone,

I have a wrecked 2009 Yamaha FZR to get rid of. This was going to be my conversion motor, pump, and electronics, but I'm not going to tackle this project after all. So, here's an opportunity for somebody else to build a killer conversion instead!

What I have - 2009 FZR - Hull is destroyed. I mean it - this thing isn't getting fixed. It was ridden at speed into/onto the shore, and the bottom of this took a lot of damage. Lower hull is chewed up, and the intake grate and rideplate were damaged as well. The upper left front of the hull is cracked, the hood mount was damaged (I have the hood, but it's not on the boat right now), and the handlebars were bent (naturally - the rider didn't stay on). However, the inner liner was NOT damaged, and the engine, driveline/shaft, pump, exit and steering nozzles, and even the reverse bucket were not hurt. Basically all of the outer hull took the damage, and did a great job of protecting all the stuff any of us would want when doing a conversion.

Again - this is NOT a candidate to be repaired and ridden! I just want to emphasize that, because the person I got it from bought it to fix, not use for other things. He realized afterward there was no chance, and sold it to me to use for a conversion. That's what it's good for, or a partout if you wanted to? Either way, this isn't a fixable FZR in my opinion.

That said, the engine, electronics, switches, driveline, pump, etc. are all in excellent shape, and are ready to be put into something that floats. This FZR is 98% complete - it doesn't have the back seat piece, or the storage bucket from underneath. Everything else, good or bad, is there. I even have the owners manual and the key fobs.

I compression tested the motor the day I received it, and all cylinders are good - even compression across the board. I ran the engine on the hose for several minutes, and everything is good. Then, I fogged everything to store it until I could get started. I have even kept the battery on a tender, so the motor would fire right up if I wanted to start it. I have paperwork from the prior owner showing I bought the ski; I didn't title it here in Washington, as I had no intention of using the hull for anything. But I have my documentation to show I bought it, and it's a legal ski.

If you have any questions, shoot me a PM, or email at '[email protected]'. I can take additional pictures, etc. as requested.

$5500 + shipping - I will be happy to deliver in a close radius, including to shipping companies in either Seattle or Tacoma to help with transportation.

    Thanks,

Talked today to Scott (Lvnspeed) and Bill (OsideBill). Scott has 1st dibs; he's going to get shipping quotes and let me know if it makes sense for him. If not, then Bill has dibs.

Also, the trailer isn't included - I still need it for another PWC.

    Thanks,
    Sean
