New to forum. 2009 rxtx questions

Hi I just bought a 2009 rxtx 255. I have never owned a seadoo before and don't know to much about them.
What I want to know is there anything that goes wrong with these skis that I can fix before I have a problem as its done 156hours. Previous owner told me it has upgraded supercharger, grate, prop and exhaust but it will only do 106kp/h. Are these skis speed limited? And what's the best upgrades I could do to my ski to make it pull better as I'll be towing skiers and tubes mainly and occasional offshore riding. Any advice would be appreciated

Welcome to the Hulk. Your ski should do 116-117 kph, with minor mods, at around 8140-8160 rpm. #1 is 4" kanaflex air intake system vice the restrictive stock setup. See online store. Slip on the SC needs to be checked. Purchase a SHop Manual from the dealer, its about $125 but well worth it. Look up 1tommygunner1927 and troyheb, they have a 2008 RXT-X 255, and get their advice.

I checked my s/c slip and it was 96in lb and fitted a 4in intake on it so I'll take it out this weekend and see how it goes. Is there any way to check what pitch prop I have

You would have to pull the prop to tell.. Did the previous owner mention it being upgraded? What supercharger did he say is fitted?

Congrats on your 1st Seadoo. Before you do anything to your pride and joy, get a Shop Manual. Second, if the pump tunnel wasn't reinforced by the previous owner, that will be your first mod along with adding a bilge pump.

I just got a 09 RXP-X... Do I have to worry about the pump tunnel also??? I only ride on the calm Mississippi river and dont' plan to do more then 75 mph for now... The mods I was planning to get are an intake grate, 4 inch fizzle and fill the wholes on the plate...

    Ripper

My p-x is stock with 17 hours...

I was told the prop and grate was upgraded and supercharger is supposed to have an upgraded wheel. So the 2009 rxtx has a bad problem with tunnel cracking or is it just highly modified ones?

The tunnel cracks, even on stock skis.
