    RD big bore kit

I have been trying to decide on pistons as I build my FZS motor for high boost and was wondering what peoples experiences were with the different pistons available for the SHO motor.
Is the wavey bore phenomena limited to a few bad blocks or common to anybody boosting over stock hp?
ANy experiences or info on the CP, JE, riva, rius cut of Cp pistons or other pistons available would be greatly appreciated.

My top choices in pistons are either the CP or Riva pistons.

There are several good piston manufactures out there. The R&D Big Bore you mentioned in your title come with 88mm CP's which have been reviewed as one of the best. I am actually in the process of wrapping up the time consuming prep work but will be starting a build thread on the 1.9 Big Bore kit in the near future. Just waiting on the pistons and pipe to come back from coating. I will post pics and info as it goes together so people will have a better idea of what people can expect if they decide to go that route.

Ok, not much interest or not many running aftermarket pistons so far. I am going to run the big bore kit with CP pistons and see what happens.

Yeah buddy! I wish I would have done the BB sooner so I could have some better info for you but my CP's are on their back from coating and I will hopefully be starting the build thread in the next week or so. Are you going with the R&D BB? If so are you sending the block to them to machine or do you have a local deal? If you send it to R&D, they took about 1.5 months to do mine but they also had to reorder sleeves so there was a delay but normally they say about 3 weeks give or take a little on turn around. You are like me and live in the north so you have some time to kill and I bet if you get on it now, you should get it all back and be ready in April.
