    "Off Season" Paint Projects

Just Got done with my hood makeover on my '00 slx last night and was wondering if anybody else
besides Spectra and Myself had winter paint projects and made some cosmetic changes during
    the "off season".

Thought it would be cool to see others projects, post some pics if ya got em'

    Ill start...

Just wanted something different than the light gray. I saw another 00 slx last summer on the lake and wanted mine look a little unique/different from the others. Also got a "SLX" decal that matches the hood 3color polaris for the back if I ever get the urge to change the back side decals to match the hood. Also did the compartment lid to match. Might flip it over and paint the bottom to match next fall/winter.

Sorta looks like a very dark smoke/black color with sparkle when the sun/light hits it, not a true "jet black".
3 weeks work time, on and off, when i could escape to the garage, lotta work tho just for a hood.

    Thanks guys
Looked all over for a 3 color decal just like that but couldnt find one that was just "polaris" in a size I could work with, all were single colors or had some crazy a** design around the lettering. Ended up getting some off ebay that had the design around it and trimmed the "polaris" out. Just a tad bigger than the oem size but fits nice. Only thing i dont like is they scratch easy, already have a couple minor scratches on one side decal from just wiping down... might clear em in, But was exactly what i wanted and it was different than any "polaris" decal id seen on another hood. Think it was a snowmobile decal

Looks nice! Are you painting the rest of your ski too?

You'd probably get more hits and posts of winter paint projects if you repost this into an open discussion thread??? Just a thought!

I had in the past made a lift to get the ski off the trailer and onto a stand using frame with 2 winches. I am still planing to use it to lift the ski and get the bottom done on mine.

    Thanks!

The plate is part of the hood update kit, a service bulletin deal about the hoods flying off. Has a cable running inside from the hood to the hull incase the mounts/support for the hood break or something to that effect. Decided to paint it in since it will never be removed, and thought it would look way better painted with the hood.

Nobody else has done any painting this winter they'd like to show????
