    Riva Stage 2 RPM Issues

    With stage 1 8050-8100 rpm 71.5mph
    With stage 2 7750-7800 rpm 70.6mph max.

Riva full stage 2 with 15/20R plus pro block off
    Water temp 82
    Oil is at correct level.

    Is this a pitch problem??

The stage 2 is supposed to use the 15/20

Glen, try taking some pitch out of the trailing edge to get your RPM's up

I have 60 hours on my Stg II 15/20R prop and all is good. If it is definitely an "R", I would look elsewhere for your lost rpm (unless you might have damaged the prop) On 90+ degree days I typically run 7900-7950 rpm. Could be a boost/clutch issue?? You should be running at least 8.0 lbs of boost. Just a thought.

Brendan, you too could benefit from taking some pitch out of the trailing edge of that 15/20. Get those R's up to 8100 if you can.

Brendan, are you seeing 77 mph at 7900-7950 RPM?

Guys: I'm pinned at 8100 (stock ecu) when running 77 or better. I just wanted Glen to know that with the higher water and air temps my rpms do indeed drop 100-150. He should still be able to run 7900 and at least 74-75.

Knock on wood - my ski is 100%. Just ran 77.5 on the gun at the Northeast end of season shootout.

    Thanks for the thought Jer.
