    Jetties fishing

Anyone do any jetties fishing close to the rocks. I've been wanting to go but i'm a little afraid of drifting into the rocks. What kind of anchor would you use, right now i have the one that spins like a heli when i pull it up for pwc's with about 35 of line on it. I don't think it would catch very good, so if anyone has some pointers let me know.

If you plan on anchoring I would use a Danforth Anchor or fluke style..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anchor ...... Id say an 8 to 12 lb one would work with a short piece of chain from the anchor to the rope.....also would recommend anchoring from the bow eye and not the rear of the ski.....also it take 3 times the depth of rope to anchor properly......example...10 ft of water needs 30 ft of rope....

Won't that kind of anchor get hung up on the rocks?

Just about any type of anchor has a possibility of getting hung up in rocks............
