    Wiseco pistons pros & cons?

I know that with Wiseco pistons you have to warm the engine up real good before you go wide open,
Do they preform any better than the OEM or the WSM ones?
Less chance of melting because they are forged?
    thanks,

Performance wise you won't see a difference. And I really feel if you get any piston lean enough it will melt. If it's that close to melting a factory one, your seconds away on any.

With the wiseco you have to have more clearance then standards also, so you can't just hone a cylinder and drop them in.

I was looking at getting wiseco forged replacement pistons.. are they a mistake to install? I've read a few people with problems but nothing specific to the wiseco forged pistons. Any idea how much more clearance? Wondering the pistons set comes with that info.

Most guys are using the WSM pistons. What I was told about the Wiseco pistons is that you may not get the longevity out them due to the larger clearances you need to run with them. They are very good pistons, but probably an unnecessary expense in a rec boat.
