    electric intake supercharger need opinion

    Hi all,

was searching parts for my volkswagen touareg and found this link :http://www.ebay.com/itm/VW-Intake-Su...sories&vxp=mtr

It's an electric supercharger that you plug on the intake, just want to know if it can give benefits to the jetski.

Anyone tried it? from the video on the link it appears that the electric fan send more air to the supercharger.

YES you need to buy it and tell us how it does

Might give you a very small increase down low in the rpm's but i would think it will just be a restriction in your intake at high air speeds.

I cant see these working. The small electric blower usually doesnt flow as much cfm as the motor does without it-ide think it would be more of a restriction. I have used these to move air in and out of the hull-they work great for that.

That blower is rated at 900 watts, which is a little over 1 horsepower at 100% efficiency. I don't know how much HP our typical superchargers draw, but I would guess they draw between 10 and 20 horsepower.

So do you think this little dinky blower will do anything at all? Nope, it will act as a restrictor, just as Porschemaniac says....

That blower is drawing between 70 - 75 amps. Good luck with that. Where is the extra fuel coming from???

It will not work. Your supercharger sucks in way more air than that POS fan can feed it. It will actually end up being a restriction in your air intake and you'll be lucky it doesn't come apart feeding your supercharger debris and destroying your impeller
