How about on an older ski? I would like to do away with the oil injection on my '93 650.

Shouldnt be a problem (Guys with more experience with marine engines feel free to prove me wrong here) provided its a mechanical carb not injected......doing this to my 96 Cane as I have very little or no trust in post mix systems (they should have stayed an option on ag bikes only lol). Just remove the oil tank and block off the oils lines that lead from it.....This is how I would do it on a 2 stroke bike engine....marine could be different so before you go ahead wait for someone with a lil more moxxy to confirm that this ways is good before doing so

The Polaris oil pumps are very reliable. Its the oil lines that fail. Replace those and you should have no issue.

While I don't disagree with BryanP as a lot of people are running oil pumps trouble free, it is quite simple to do. Remove the oil pump including gear from the crankcase, the oil lines, and the oil tank, install a blockoff plate (~$15.00 ebay), and cap the locations that the oil lines attached to the intake, carbs, or wherever your setup attaches. Be sure that no one EVER fills up the tank without premixing....... That should do it....
