    mfd

    just picked up a 95 & 96 slt seams like the mfd is always on is this normal? if so how long will it take to kill the battery?

    Depends on amperage output of battery will tell you how many hours a battery can go (cold crank amps divide by amp draw) but the clock displays use less than .2 amp per hour...

    I wouldn't worry about it but if it bothers ya and not in use just disconnect the battery or put it on a charger once in a while.

    With just the clock displayed the MFD draws 2 milliamps. With engine running the MFD draws aprox 15 milliamps.

    As Bryan P stated, the battery will go for months.
