New RXT 260 want cheapest and simplest way to get over 70mph? (simple mods)

What would be the first things to do to an unmodified 2011 RXT 260? Probably first thing will be mentioned is new impeller? I would haft to pay someone for that but rather easy things I can do myself little bit mechanical but not to a very high degree but would like 70mph + if not to $$$

Prop, air intake, and riva module will get you to 70 on a budget

Replace the stock air intake system with a 4" Kanaflex line and screen filter. You could install a Rivas Speed Control Module which would remove the GPS limiter and re-pitch the prop. You will be over 70 MPH..

An ECU re-flash by Les Cooke or Jerry (Green Hulk On line store) would be more benificial but more costly. Opens the door for yet more speed.

    Good Luck...

Don't forget intake Grate. I found out the hard way when my iS passed through 73 mph going against a current. My intake is not a true cold air and I'm 100 pounds heavier, I so suspect that your ski will run close to mid 70's with the same mods. The only thing I have left to do is some prop tweaking.

If you just want 70+ just get the riva module and the prop. You won't need the air intake to go over 70.

If I remember correctly, the SCOM got me to about 70. Then the 15/22r (re-pitched) got me to about 75. Both with 4" Fizzle & HM catch can. Perfect conditions and heat shield and R&D grate got me >76

I was at 73.6 before the air intake and 73.6 after the air intake. Prop and scom did it for me.

You will be at or over 70 with this module with no other mods. BUT, you can be up to 73-74 very easy with a 4" air setup, and a good re-pitch on a Solas impeller. You can repitch the stock impeller to save some money but, we have proven that a Solas provides much better results.

The stock air intake is very restrictive. The 4" air setup that we are telling you to consider really allows the ski to breath and provides much better acceleration and overall performance. Just remove it - it is bulky and keeps you from working in the engine area!
