    Post Help buying a 2007 250x

Hello All, New to the forum and I am hoping I can get some advice on purchasing a used 2007 250x. Here is the deal the ski has only 6 hours on it but I can tell it was not taken care of. It was a trade in at a local Kawasaki shop so the staff does not know the true history of the ski. They pulled off the jet pump and noticed some rocks got sucked up. Both the prop and the jet pump had damage. The shop said they would replace it for x amount of $. Still a good deal as far as the cost. We checked the compression and it read 150 psi across all cylinders. My concern is how the long the ski has been sitting for and what kind of damage is lurking around else where? I would like to think with only 6 hours on the ski the engine is ok but what about the other components such as the supercharger? What the hell should I do????

    PLEASE HELP!!!

make sure they upgrade the pump to 300spec and ask for them to give you warranty and ride the hell out of it whilst it is in that warranty period. also ask them to do a strip down inspection of the s/c as part of the deal.

What is a strip down protection of the supercharger?

And by chance does anybody know of an hour interval on the supercharger belt? I've got 140 hours on mine and my free service is thru this summer and I'd like to get it replaced but dealer said it's just fine.

What might the Yamaha intervals be? I know Sea Dogs require "rebuilding" or something crazy at 100 hours.

go make a small slit in your belt then go ride it untill it breaks then take it in to get it replaced anything over 100 hrs and your belt is on borrowed time
