Which one of Jim's plates should I get?

Hey guys. I'm looking at Jim's plates for our GP1200R. I'm going to be running a Riva top loader grate, 13/19 Solas, with O plate, flow tube, and Jetworks. I have $150 for a ride plate. Am I better off with a stock R&D, or Riva plate (unmodified), or a Jim's modified stock plate?

I'll be riding in relatively calm water to 1-2' chop.

My goal is reduced porposing and a little more speed.

    Thanks!

Jim's ride plate using your stock is $285 and I don't think any of the others are in your budget either. I have his plate modification on my FX SHO but I can't speak about the performance first hand compared to the others because I haven't had any of them. All I know is that based on all the research I did on this forum and others Jim's was the way to go and I didn't set a budget.

Am I looking at the wrong one?

The website says "GPR FF mod on your stock plate" $145. What's "FF" stand for anyway?

I know Jim's plates are second to none, I just didn't know if a Jim's modified stock plate is better than a stock R&D/Riva.

Here's 2 free mods (40 cents) for you...small washers under the trim tabs (less porpoising) and stepped sponsons (slightly more top speed)...these with a Jim plate you'll feel the difference..
