    Fresh vs salt water in speed

    Is there any diffrent in speeds with the two?

    Yes there is a difference, This subject has been brought up many times thru the years. Fresh water is faster.

    I thought salt water was faster because it has a greater buoyancy than fresh water? Given, in an ocean (salt) you arn't going to have smooth riding conditions for top speed.

    Sweet so might be able to hit 70mph in fresh water

    Yes my 69 mph was on fresh water

    Noooo i still don't hit 74, the max i hit was 69.4 on fresh water with just a r&d intake grate and the plate shim off

    74.9 was on fresh. I've gone 70+ in salt on the ocean, but its always too rough to get any long distance speed runs for good numbers.
