Pro 785 getting no fuel. startes on prime only

Well after setting for 4 years , tried to start my 785 , squirted gas \oil in the carbs and fired right up. Will run on the prime only. Guessing no fuel to the carbs . Have fresh gas, checked all pulse lines , tight , on\off seems to be working , not sure what to check next , any ideas ? Not sure what to check next, Have a service manual , but seems kind of basic

Hmmm, jets may be clogged with varnish from sitting for so long. I would clean the carbs thoroughly and get new diaphrams for them and try it again.. cant hurt. depends what they look like. I hope you fogged it when it was put away.. Any rust on the bearings will ruin the crank. Drain the fuel separator and refresh it with new gas/oil mixture.

. I would check the fuel pumps and see if they are both working , its been sitting for a long time. they may be gummed up too. You won't know till its checked.. wouldn't want a lean condition on a 600.00 crank,100.00 pistons and a re=ni-ca-sil coating on the cylinder walls with YOU doing all the labor. ouch.

have the fuel lines been replaced ever? Thats a good idea too.

Start at the fuel tank and work your way back.

Check the fuel lines or replace.

Check the fuel selector valve or replace.

    Inspect the carbs or rebuild.

Think I might have found it ( maybe ), the one line from the fuel primer pump ?? came off , would this cause a air leak in not drawing fuel ?

I think it is ( on supply line ), tomorrow going to replace the primer pump ( seems to be leaking air ) will not prime , check and replace lines . If I read the polaris manual right , the 785 fuel supply is based upon a vacuum to feed fuel to the carbs ?? which would be any air leak would cause a problem ??

exactly if it was on the supply if wouldn't create a vacuum to pull it up from the tank

Problem found !! The line from the primer pump ( hooked in to the supply line ). Reattached it , primed fire and ran . easy fix !!! One question, after using the ski, should I turn off the fuel valve until I'm ready to ride again ?

i don't usaully run fuel valves but i never leave my tanks full when sitting , i have seen guys leave them full and not shut off the valve and when they sit in the sn the heat warms up the gas and floods the engine full of fuel
