    RXPX 2012 Project

Finally i recieved my RXPX yesterday and before this touch the water i already insert some stuff in it...
First, its a pain in the ass to take the back part behind the seat for work. (the olders ones are much more easy)..
Once you take the new plastic tabs, then you could start working at the back.

1st. Bye bye OEM Water box and OEM Intercooler.

Im installing the Riva Gen III IC and the TDR waterbox (its the same i use in my RXP 0..fits perfect!!!!

2nd Bye bye OEM air filter (you can take it out throw the front , but you need to take the fuel pump to do it)

Then i insert 8ft of Kanaflex 4"..., i bought the K&N air filter 4" (online store...kawi parts) and you need to cut a part of foam only at the back to fit Kanaflex..., then finally i insert the filter in between the air tubes.., its holding very hard over there...

The right way to go much nicer to work with a brand new machine than the one that passed a few hours. Make sure to post many pictures on the site where it is always interesting to follow a project. And buy the V-Tech not the les ECU.

One TIP, the fuel tank straps are really big, becuase they hold the air filter too...
So i double them as i you could see in this picture..., it was hard but now its the best way i could attach the tank another time..

Yeah i know.., but i think this mods will not change anything on the breakover process...
About the ECU, i already bought an ECU from another member 4 months ago, so its on my shelf already... (all other parts came from Jerry)

I used this for my gas tank after I removed the stock air box.

do you think its possible to use the older 08-11 X model IC upgrade kit that comes with the bracket and tubes for these '12 PX models? would be much cleaner and quicker responding than the current setup.. only thing i could think of is that you'd need a thru hull exhaust

You could use the 08-11 x ic and the tubes. I just decided to sell my 20 hrs 2010 IC and use the GenIII just because the words of Jerry about it. (Gen3 weights at least 30% more than 08-11 oem IC)
You could still use the oem exhaust system with this... ( this is not like the old relication kit), its just metal tubes instead of the oem ones.
I use this exhaust system because Riva has not yet launch the thru hull.
I try to see if the older one fit but with the new T3 hull its complicated.
I would change it for the thru hull as soon its on the online store, i agree it would be much cleaner and it would sound better.
Pd: the carbon seal has change for better ( in the opinion of my mechanic) he surprise when he saw it. I would try to take a picture of it.
