    plug and jet specs??

    2000 virage 700 twin single carb.plugs in it are br7es,manual show br8es.main jet 158,added jet 120,low jet 78 and the low speed at 1 1/2 out.can anybody confirm this??

    Have you taken a look at the carb ? Is it in fact a 3 jet carb or 4 jet carb ?

    BPR8ES, don't forget the P.

    My 2000 service manual doesn't mention the "secondary" Main jet (H=158- L=78 )and says 3/4 turn on the low screw.

    The 2000 parts manual does have 158 main, 120 sec main, 78 low=pilot. With a carb # 1253334

    thanxs casey,its a 3 jet carb with a 120 small jet in the main circuitry.the 1 1/2 turns out confirms all the sooting in the pump area when it should be 3/4 out.the p is a projected tip i've never had anh issues with the standard plugs

    Yeah,I've run both style plugs in my 1200 and both looked identical ,probably only an issue if it loads up.
    Do you see anything different in the main jet circuit ?
    I'm wondering why they started using the secondary main jet. That passage usually just feeds fuel up to the main jet.

    the main jet pulls from the same area as the pilots do.when they ran the high adjusters that circut pulled thru the lower hole in the metering block.the 120 jets flows fuel thru that circuit theres just no hole to the outside of the body.so the 120 jet is a fixed high speed.
