    SL 650 speed question

What i the speed of a sl650. I am looking at an old1992 sl650 to push a shuttlecraft. The rails only fit the SL series. Wonder if it'll have the power to push it enough. It has trim and reverse. I know it's old. But it's cheap.

    45. I doubt a 650 would push that very well. Look for a 900/1050/1200 to do that.

The SL650 didn't come with reverse. Are you sure its not an SLT? In which case it wouldn't be a 92 model either.......

Its a 92. Added reverse. Can not use any other ski but a sl. 750 would be better I expect Maye I'll hold out for an 97 xp. 800 would be enough. Just gonna cost me triple the price.

SL Hulls are pretty much the same especially up to about 97 on the SL's. In terms of grunt to push I think a 97 SL 1050 would be a great choice they are around the 120hp mark. Don't forget that a shuttle craft is like pushihng a barge.

SL 1050 would be nice, but it's like 47" plus. I only have 44 inch to work with. I could make a set of rails but totally a PITA. Hoping I'll come across something that will work.

Yeah. Sounds like a 3 seater hull. Tool wide. If I have to make a set of rails it wont be for a polaris. Thanks for the info.
