Have a 2010 rxtx. Love the rough water handling.

Ready to fill the second slot on my trailer. Enjoy long distance rides, often in bigger lake conditions (Lake Mead, Lake Powell, etc.). Am really interested in the 12 rxpx, but would really like it to handle the chop like my rxtx. Anyone have experience with both in rough water? Recommendation?

    Thanks,
    JP

This weekend i race in open sea with the RXPX2012 vs RXTX 2010 (S3).
The new T3 hull its an incredible difference if you compared it with the older one, BUT the RXTX2010 and newer have a larger Hull and handle the chop a bit better. (speacially if its windy)
IMO If i have to gave a punctuation it will be:
    Kawi 300 10 points
    RXTX 9 points
    RXPX 8.5 points (T3 hull)
    FZR 7.5 points
RXP 2011 and older 6 points

But if you like wave jumping or CC race, the winner will be by FAR the RXPX2012.

Well said. I haven't ridden a 2010 TX but the 2012 PX murders my 08 TX in almost every situation, especially chop.

I ride with several of the new PX's. When the conditions are right, we will trade rides and see how they compare with an iS. From what I hear about the hull (the rave reviews), I am waiting for the day when a T3 hull is mated to a suspension system.....and adjustable trim tabs.

I went offshore to test the new T3 and compare to the Ultra, T3 cut well the wave but I do find hard to keep the boat straight.
Also when waves come in diagonal, ski love to go sideways.

IMO ski "float" to much at high speed.
Will have to try with the sponsons all the way up.

    But still fun and good!

Jetski world pretty much summarize it, and I do agree.

I love the new RXPX but I still have to say the RXTX is still king in the really rough stuff.
I hate Kawi's but you have to give it to them but buildng a great rough water hull.
