    AH of Battery

    Hi,
Apologise if this has been mentioned recently but...
I am going to be getting a new Jet Ski battery but going to try and order it through work, so can anyone tell me what AH rating they are and if it has to be a certain number or if it can be a range, or even if it really matters? Its for a 2003 Kawasaki STXR.
Obvious 12v but just need AH...

    Cheers Phil

12V 18AH rating is the stock battery.

Okay cheers for that, is that standard for most jet skis or just the STXR? I have a 12v 17AH battery here, will that be okay or does it have to be exact? Didnt want to go higher incase it blew any of the electrics, but the worst going lower is it just may not work. Cheers.

Its common to kawasaki's with the 1200 engine. your AH would be ok but more important is the physical dimensions of the battery to fit the battery location. The stock battery is a YTX20L-BS which is L=17cm W=8cm H=15cm

Get a Odessy sealed battery, I had mine go loose in a ULTRA while riding the battery was almost round at the end of the day. Guess what it works and holds charge toughest battery I have ever owned!!!
