OPERATION "PAPA-GEORGIO" GPRXP Conversion
Well, the time has come to punish all and what better way to do it than with an 85 mph GPRXP!!!! I'm starting this thread for my buddy Will "Thirdgen 327". We went on a 200+ mile trek last week to pick up a GP1300R Hull from a forum member in Connecticut. Will got to work on it today by pulling the motor out of the "Monster" 06 RXP. I will be updating everyone along the way. Our goal is to have it ready for the first week of April. We have a trip to SC planned and right now we both have a lot of work to do. Both of our skis are in pieces right now. My FZR is just a basic bolt-on boat (Hoping for 80 mph), but Will wanted to take a walk on the wild side and knock out this conversion and blow me out of the water LOL.
First off, we will be addressing the inherent safety issues with the GPR Hull....Pump Tunnel, Pump Shoe, Rideplate Inserts, etc. Will has the new motor mounts on order, and is mailing out his shafts tomorrow for modification. I know Will will chime in and give us some more details on the powerplant, mods, pump, paint, etc. Here are a few pics so far...STAY TUNED!!!

Nothing special so far guys, I know its alittle boring.. Just getting the hull in shape, and fixing some issues with the pump and rideplate area. Looked like the ski went in for the recall and Someone pumped JB weld or some junk all around the shoe insert underneath. One of the inserts was pulled through , as well as one of the rideplate inserts.
I'm fixing it up at the moment, trying to make everything safe and reliable before we get into the fun stuff!
The hull was in decent shape , but its definately gonna get alot of attention.
Thanks Stalker for all your help today!
YES Crashhard ! It was a joke with a guy in the drag racing scene and spilled over into this.

Got a chance to get alittle work done over the past couple of days. The Pump tunnel needed to be addressed , so It was cleaned up, repaired, and then reinforced. I will make pump tunnel inserts and Rideplate inserts to finish that part of it up!
Underneath needs a few spots repaired , where an errant forklift driver wacked the side of the hull. Nothing major but it needs to be remedied.
I will move on to truing the bottom, and get everything as it needs to be. That will all be done this week and then we will move onto better things.
The pump shoe was so bad I scrapped it. Ordered a new shoe, which will be sealed up nicely and machined to match the 1200 Grate and Jims plate perfectly.
The pump will be a Skat 12V setup running the 2 inch extension
Addicted is working the shafts right now and I will also be going with his mounts.
Heres a pic of the Donor all stripped out. Whats a shame.
