    PTO Removal from loose crankshaft

    I need to remove the PTO coupler from the crank of a 97 gp1200 and it is out of the motor. Shy about how to secure it because of the cost of this part. Did my best with a search and read that it has been done just not how. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Chris

    carefully clamp it in a LARGE vise. clamp the webs, closest to the PTO. use heat ( on the PTO), and a coupler tool with an inpact.

    we have them here, for sale. you want part number DS61

    here is a link to order, if you want;

    Thanks for the reply. Put a chain vise around the web beside the pto. With some heat it come off nicely
