    Pump conversion (short to long)

I yanked the stock 650 pump from my 92 sl. I have a extended pump from a 96 1050. Looking at where it bolts in I have a question before I start messing around with it.

On the ski, there are bolts with threads coming out that go into the pump. On the pump, there are studs with threads coming out going into the transom. I don't got a pic as I'm at work, but if the description doesn't help I'll post one.

Anyone know what I'm supposed to do? Looking at the set up, my guess is that I take the bolts out from the ski and use the threaded studs from the new pump and bolt it with the washers from inside the hull.

Any helps will be much appreciated!
