xll1200 #1 not firing unless u put fuel in thru plug
We have rebuilt carbs and rejetted tuned to wfo spec removed accell pump and choke. Added primer pump
Comp is between 135 all across the board .
Head was milled .030
Air box mod .
Last weekend ski ran great like a champ.... strong holeshot very good throttle responce
This weekend no burn in#1.
Pulled all plugs and swapped them around same thing.
Put only #1 plug in and primed with primer still no burn...
Pull plug and squirt in premix and it fires up but dont continue to keep running.
Dont think its a fuel problem since it will not hit off the primer either.
So it seems as if its not creating a vac to pull in gas
So its either a reed broke or hung open or a crank seal .
How bad do the reads have to be messed up for this to happen ?
Realy hope its not a crank seal

If you still have good compression across the board it sounds like a fuel problem. unless you do have a bad reed valve and the best way to check them without pulling the carbs is to remove the air box and hold your hand at the carb opening wile revving the engine. if the reeds are bad it will be spitting air / fuel back on your hand. just don't run it long as that cylinder is running dry some lube in the spark plug hole wouldn't be a bad idea.

Yea it was /is a fuel issue anyone have a cluse as to why JUST 1 carb isnt getting any fuel .
It did have a burnt reed in cylinder #1 but wasnt main issue . This cylinder will fire from primer or spraying gas into carb ...
I have 120s high jet1.5turns out 110low jet 1turn out .

There is a small filter in the carbs that can stop up but the rear carb is more likely to. I was using the stock filters on my 1390 but they do let small particles through so i went to the paper element inline filters.

Got it fixed it was the needle it was stuck closed and wasnt poping open to fill carb with fuel .
