Wax is only for looks and protecting the paint/ clear coat. Its not going to make you go any faster. I personally use Meguries carnuba plus on my FZ and its great. Just remember, wax doesn't hold up as long in the marine environment as it does on car.

Wax will not measurably affect your speed in either direction. I highly recommend doing it though. +1 what MikeFZR says about how it doesn't last nearly as long.

The Wake board guys have always said not to wax the bottom of your board...??? If you look at the air force low drag bombs , they are rough on the front.....I just wax the top of my FZR ...helps with water spots , and makes the sea-doo guy's cry
from looking at such a beautiful yamaha blue ski.....lol its getting deep in here...gotta go wax my ski !

Nothing like a fresh coat of wax on a ski! Don't bother waxing the bottom, it will all come off in seconds. As long as you wash-- or at least spray down the bottom after ever ride you will be fine.
