2001 Sea Doo XP no spark

I have a 2001 XP which has no spark to the plugs.

How do I know if its the MPEM or the stator?

Engine turns over but no spark?

Thanks for the advice in advance

Do you have any rust in your electric black box? If so check the grounds especially where the coil brackets bolt together.

+1 I would check this first before anything else. you may also want to try to trim the plug wires back first about 1/4" and reinstall the boots.

which black box, there are 2 in the front and one in the back compartment?. So it could be faulty HT leads?

Write it up in the logbook and call maintenance...

You can download the manual for your ski HERE. It has some troubleshooting info as well as wiring diagrams...

check all fuses then check all the grounds, trim the plug wires back 1/4" and install new boots if you have access to them.

This may sound like a broken record but the battery needs to be 100% to get a spark. A battery with a dead cell will still turn it over well but won't have enough juice to spark the coil.
