water testing a winterized SHO on sat

i will be water testing a dealer winterized SHO this Saturday. Aside from a new battery what else should I do ?
Ski is still under warranty so I just need to take it up to speed etc. I will flashlight the prop and go over ski. Ski has less than 100 hours and is an 08
Can I just borrow a battery or buy a cheap one, throw it in, and ride?

Any advice on this would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

All that is sellers responsibility to get it ready to ride. As a rule of mine, don't be more excited to buy than a seller is to sell. He should have it ready to go and do his part in so. Your money on the line and he is doing you no favor.

That cannot be my stance as this guy will be doing me a favor. He purchased at 0% and next month his rate skyrockets. He wants me to just pay off the balance. He an older guy and I want to make this easy.

It's not a bad idea oiling the SC shaft if the ski has been sitting for awhile. Look for the small bolt on the top of the housing. That's the oiling port. There's a paper gasket under it which really should be replaced, but it should be fine if you're just taking it for a quick ride. Other than that, just warm it up good before pounding on it.

He is still getting the ski paid off before his rate goes up. Sounds like a great deal for both of you guys. http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=142072

    I'm still looking.
My boy has 2x SHO Cruisers and i have open access to them. I would like my own but I'm not desperate. I'll be on water either way.
I may take it if I can't find anything.
    Thanks for chiming in here.
