    Go pro hero 2

    can anyone tell me how these cameras hold up to salt water?

    The camera is inside the casing, so it's not a matter of how the camera holds up because it shouldn't get wet. However, I have found with moderate salt use and even with a post ride rinsing, that the buttons on the casing become hard to operate after a while and I had to replace my case about once a year or so.

    salt water is hard on everything. Even the venerable case will suffer some degradation over time from the salt, but replacing the case is relatively cheap and easy...

    i think this is not not true me and my brother have one and its attached to are spearguns and we have had no problems ive had mine for two years and have never had any problems .here in key west we do lots of spearfishing and diveing these gopros armounted to the gun with no problems even in depts upto 80-85 ft the only thing i recomend is after each use is to soak and rinse after each use .in my opinion

    X2. I have cases over 2 years old with no issues. I just splash them with fresh water no issues yet knock on wood.
