Smile Lifetime of a stock GP1300R

    Hello,

I'd like to know the aproximate lifetime (hours) of a stock 06 GP1300R that is used 90% of the time about 1/2 to 3/4 of accelleration. Someone told me about 1000 hours, I think it's impossible to reach this number.

    Thanks

    Best regards from Brazil........Fernando

Thats a good question. I know some of the 3 seaters I have seen at the marina on the lake I go to have 1000 hours and haven't had any problems.

    Not a 1300R, but close.

Chrisrokc, 1000 hours with original engine? So it's possible that a 1300 goes near this life, right?

Thanks. Sorry about my poor english...........Fernando

Of course it depends on the maintence done. I just finished up with a pump rebuild on a wave venture with 378 hrs and the shaft was worn down 1/8 th inch at the seals. Plus the barings had more slop then my dads 67 ford truck steering box. So it safe to say that a motor with 1000hrs on it may run but it would make for some good pictures during tear down.

The reason I am asking this is because I sold my GP800R last month and I'll buy a 2007 GP1300R. Here in Brazil a brand new 1300 costs more than US$ 19,000.
So, I expect a long life form my new PWC............Fernando
