    TDR install

Got my TDR water box / rear exhaust today

Have a few questions (seeing as they come with no instructions!)

    1) How does the stock block off work? appears you put it in the hole where the stock exhaust was (with lots of silicon) and then hold it in place with the silicon coupler? correct or not?

    2) Attached is a few photos of the riva template (as advised to use as a guide)

Is the riva template positioned correctly?

Hole drilled through centre of riva "hole", even if you increase the hole to the TDR size aligned with the base it is only marginally higher

Im thinking its going to need to be quite a bit higher than the riva?

Anyone got some install pics of there TDR install (pref on a GTX/RXT)

    Any suggestions welcome.

    thanks
    Luke

Searching, looks like this has been a problem before.

This older pic, with an older template looks to be lot higher than mine

    Interesting

If you look at the riva rear exhaust kit (not the water box) instructions the template is different to the water box version but the RXT and RXP templates are actually different from each other

On the water box instructions the RXT and RXP templates are identical (and the hulls are obviously not the same!)

Going to print that and see where it ends up.

    Problem solved!

Rear exhaust template fits much better, drilled pilot and looks like it should line up perfect.

Rear exhaust template - notice it actually goes up to the bond line as is expected

Rear exhaust template over Waterbox template - quite a difference in positioning!

Pilot hole from rear exhaust template - looks pretty close to centre to me!

Now to get the courage to break out the hole saw...

The coupler is really only just long enough and it is still going to need a bit of finessing to get it line up properly with the mid pipe and exhaust manifold.

This is how tony from TDR says to use the exhaust outlet block off, not so sure i like the size difference between the coupler and stock outlet
