Thread: SuperCharger ID

I pulled this charger off of a blown up 04 185 4-tec engine. I was told it was just rebuilt and ran for less than 20 minutes before the prop spun off and pushed the drive shaft into the engine, resulting in crank bearing damage.
Can anyone tell if this is the updated rebuild kit by the pics???

Would be a fairly recent rebuild as it has the 08 style metal washers (but not the latest grey style)
Gear looks fairly worn though

Well the housing is deff 08 and up but the clutch I am not sure the hole looks pretty small only way to tell for sure is to see if the metal washers are the same siz

show a pic of the fan side-- I am guessing an X charger w/ a MUCH used 17 tooth gear-- need pics to confirm...

That is 100% no doubt an 08+ shaft. The oil supply hole is larger to suit the 08+ updated oil jet.
The housing also has the X hole.

That hole is throwing me off as well. I thought that only X-chargers had that. I do not think its an x-charger wheel. The gear is worn because I think they used the 08+ rebuild kit but it came with the 215-255 gear, so they reused the original one.

Looks like a stock 08+( because of the oil hole in the housing) 215hp charger (because of the fan).
I have rebuilted 07 year charger before and they also have the hole in the shaft.
