How to re-cover trailer bunks?
I need to recover my bunks and have two questions:
1) Is there any worthwhile difference between boat trailer carpet and pwc trailer carpet?
2) Can you use a regular office stapler to secure the carpet in place? If not what do you use?

I just re did all my bunks on my double ski trailer. I just went over to Home Depot and bought the indoor / outdoor carpet.
I also bought the electric staple gun and make sure you get stainless steel staples. The electric staple gun makes it lot faster to do.
I just ended up taking the electric staple gun back after I was done. It ended up breaking. I also used adhesive in a spray can to
make the carpet stick to the wood better when you wrap it.

How much is the electric staple gun? I'm trying to do this on a budget.

I use regular 2x4 untreated lumber and coat them with fiberglass resin 2-3 coats and before the last coat dries I wrap the carpet. No staples or adhesive needed.

Wow...^^ awesome idea !
I just did mine with 6' treated 2x4s, carpet from Lowes, and air staple gun..

Yeah they will last a whole lot longer than just pressure treated lumber. They are basically waterproof and a whole lot more sturdy

I used pressure treated lumber, stainless staples and carpet from Lowes.
One trick I found useful is to use a steam iron. Cut the carpet roughly to size, then attach one side to the lumber. Steam the overlapping carpet and it will wrap around MUCH much easier. staple the other side and trim off the exess if any. as the carpet cools and dries, it forms around the wood and fits nice and tight.
