    94 750SL Carb Rebuild/Electrical Box/MFD Fix

    Getting started.
As per my thread in the discussion forum, i have to remove the engine to get the carbs off so they can be rebuilt.
I am going to take the ski off the trailer. I have found the plans to build my own PWC Stand here on the forum. Will start with that so i have room in my garage to work around.
Now i used the search function and found that post.
NOW i cannot find a description of an engine stand. I have a general idea on what i am going to build. Out of 2x4's same as the PWC stand.
Does anybody have a pic of an engine stand?
    Thanks

That is the PWC stand i have the plans for. I have all the material to build it, except the wheels but i can get those easy.
I was actually looking for a pic of an engine stand.

You can just put the engine on a bench to work on it. Its pretty easy to do once its out of the ski.

    Ah perfect thanks.
I was thinking thats what to do. Just stick a 2x4 or something under it to stop it from rolling side to side.
    Thanks.

That's what happens when you think you can speed read! Yeah on a bench is the best way, 750 engine will be relatively light to throw on there.

Its even better if you can put it on some sort of table so you can get around all 4 sides of it.

FYI - I have found that picking up a furniture dolly rated for 1000# is the most inexpensive way to pick up casters. The casters would be rated for 250# each and the dolly costs around $20 - $25 USD here in the states. Home Depot, Lowes, TSC, Etc. Home Depot has a small furniture dolly rated at 1000# for $19.99......
