Thread: New jugs! lol

    New jugs! lol

I just got my 750 complete (loaded) cylinders for 150.00
I also grabbed some spare cylinders and a carb rack so I'm going to be rejeting the carbs because I run premix so 90 is the stock any ideas what I should bump it to? because I premix? I,m guessing 92?
I also bought a 780 cdi to replace the 650 eventually I plan on pulling the motor to swap stators to see if I can get my pro cdi to work! Z

Nice score. Why are you swapping stators? (I've asked about this before and no one knew of any difference between stators) What isn't meshing with the PRO CDI?

Xlint I have no clue? my pro cdi will not fire and I need to sort this out so I can get some deals finalized! but it runs good with the stock cdi? and I just bought the 780 cdi for now but as soon as I find a fair price on a later model stator I'm going to swap it I think the 92 stator might be the issue? but as far as 650 vs 750 stators I would say there is absolutely no difference! I just think my first year stator might be different even though all the wires are the same color! Z

I've got a few stators here. I don't think much will change with the swap though. Wait until you get the 780 CDI and try that first.

The pro cdi has three coil leads and I'm not sure were they get their signal? but the 780 and 650 have a common coil lead ie just one so I'm sure the 780 will work but I have no clue why the pro won't ? Z

Z I was thinking(that hurt) I think the pros are wired seperate for the exhaust valves to work in sequance with the cylinder fireing. You should be able to wire the pro cdi in series like your 650. Hey it's worth a shot.

Thanks dart! I wired it just like pho has it in the tech section and it all worked according to colors but I get no spark nada I can't even get I coil to fire I even have spare coils and double checked everything including the stator test that u can do from the harness! all looked good? Z

Scott, I dropped the ball on your project. I never received the wiring diagram on the 650, let me grab one and I'll check it out. Don't be afraid to REMIND me, I'm getting old. LOL
