MSX 150 Pump Drive Questions - Impeller - Wedge - Wear Ring

Since Desperado and Watcon have us covered on the 150, I am going to sell off the 140 and focus on the 150. I think I have to pull my drive as it is over revving and I have been instructed to look this over. Questions.

1.) Is it worthwhile to install a 6 degree wedge on the 150?
2.) Who does good work on repairing the stock impeller?
3.) How hard is it to replace the wear ring?
4.) Anything else you can add for thr drive area rebuild?

-not sure on 6 degree wedge but..

-impros usa do an ace job on impellers, ive used them. i believe skat trak to really good repairs too?

-very easy to replace the wear ring check K447's links (change the whole tube that goes over the impeller for a new one.) if you buy new, you should get a one piece stainless wear ring. i had one, they are very good. i made a mistake of selling on a ski with it fitted.

*if possible i would suggest trying to change the drive shaft seals on the thru hull four bolt flange (as they have a newer part number and different installation orientation on the seal)

*also just make sure your jetpump bearings in the six vein stator are perfect.

*and make sure the inlet and front of ride plate areas are sealed correctly

    hope this is helpfull.

i totaly love my 150 with big turbo/ecu map and 13/19 solas. its very fast and great on fuel!

six degree wedge will lift the front giving a bit of extra speed but makes turning more difficult and tends to make it want to porpuss (go up and down in the front while moving)

The 6 degree wedge does not porpoise my 140 at all. Turning is still OK. Maybe I will pull it off the 140 and put it on the 150 then. I have the re-mapped ECU from Desperado, what a find that is. I want to keep the stock impeller, who makes it Skat or Solas? I will look at K447 links again. Where do you get the SS ring?

im confident that skat made the 150 oem props. (Looks same as their swirls) its a 12/18

i ordered a OEM replacement wear ring via a polaris PWC dealer here in uk. and polaris UK sent threw the new stainless one threw. seems to depend what polaris distributors have in stock.(i didnt have any special part numbers for it)

i really rate the skat trak swirl props.

Solas charts give 12/18 for the MSX110 and 13/19 for the MSX150 the solas 12/18 has less blade area than the OE MSX150 impeller

I have around 6 degrees wedge on my msx conversion and although it does not porpoise it is a bugger to steer unless trimmed down.

The previous owner of my ski removed the wedge. This weekend I tried a 6 grades wedge but now it does a lot a porpoise and jumps. I think that is useless try a stock 4 grades wedge, I'll remove the wedge.
