Just ordered my first mod for my 09 rxp-x... R&D Grate... Now can't sleep...

I'm too excited... I haven't even had the machine in the water yet... Hope to try it this weekend (water temp is like 45 and air is about 50ish) Gonna get some base numbers then put the grate on and get numbers. Then fill the holes and get numbers...
Any predictions of what the boat will do stock and what it will do with the grate???

    I choose this grate...

Probably around 69 stock, and 71-72 with the grate. Do the ride plate, 4" intake and tweak the prop a little and you should get close to 75.

Cool, what should I do with the ride plate??? (I figured I would just get a new prop for it... after I get the 4 inch fizzle intake)

Sorry, I just meant fill the ride plate holes (too lazy to type!!). Yeh buying a 15/22 is another option, but that may need a little tweaking.

I plan to take it out for the first time this weekend... and get some numbers as completely stock machine... then start to add stuff. My goal is 75 mph on gps... I have an Ace in my pocket (Thanks Tron) to help me... I'll update this as I go!

I've never even sat on the machine yet... I bought it about 2 months ago!!!

Just remember your initial numbers will be exceptionally good in the cold water and air temps. In the summer you will see lower numbers.

Initially buy a wet (or dry) suit! Good luck and welcome to the curse!

I have wet suits but I don't plan on getting wet!!! I really just want to go out and get a speed number and rpm's... So I have something to compare it to after I put my new grate on...

What, did you miss the 80 degree days? You should have been out testing then when it was nice and warm.

I was working on my houseboat and Boathouse... I'll put plenty of hours on for testing in the near future...
