Hydro-dipping finish on SHO trim pieces

I've been freshening up the SHO & was planning to have my painter shoot these trim pieces gloss black but decided to try something different after seeing how it came out on my friend Gus' ski. I've never liked the chrome & had them done with a carbon fiber print. Basically he lays down color first(he used a light grey on mine), then applies the pattern film & clears over top, so it should be just as durable as paint. The pics don't do it justice & it looks more black in person. I think the side pieces will pop nicely against the silver top deck. I'm real happy with how it came out & his prices are VERY reasonable. What do you guys think?

Anyone interested can find contact info & more pics of Brian's work in this thread:

I wonder if he could do the rear grab handle. Mines all faded...might be the same cost as buying a new one.

Good to know. I had asked my painter if he knew of anyone local & he didn't. Next stops will be to Ace Powder Coating to have a few pieces done, Dave's Autobody for some touch-up paint & maybe a trip to see Paul at Exotic Signs for some graphics.

When you're a slacker like me, there's ALWAYS down time. I've got both the SHO & SJ torn apart right now, & my main motivation for getting off my ass with the SHO project is because I'm about to put the GPR back under the knife. Gotta keep at least one out of three ready to ride.
