    1100 vs. 1200 intake ducts

Always wandered what the actual difference was. All I can initially see is the difference of the area that the pump shaft comes through.

Any preferences? The 1100 is on the left.

J-Me just going from pics and assuming drive shaft diamiter is the same it looks like the plug is a larger diamiter on the 1200 measuse the diamiter of the bore the plugs go into.

looking at 2 out of 3 of my driveshafts where it comes out of the pump shoe right where that plug is I see some wear this seems normall when is it time to change the bushing behind the plug ?

I took my shaft to Yamaha once to get props switched and the guy doing the job came back and told me I had a bad bearing because he saw the wear mark on the saft he told me it was where the bushing was that actually made the mark.

He didn't know what he was talking about its a bushing not a bearing.

Are the drive shafts the same length (1100 vs 1200)? Also I know that the differences between different years of GPR's are well documented, but what is the difference between the GP pump and the GPR? Obviously the intake duct, but what else? With the gains that have been made with the GPR pump has anyone considered mating the rear section of GPR pump to the GP intake duct?
    Thanks

Many differences between the Gp and GPR

Transom Plate is bigger on GPR

Pump bolts to transom plate only not up to the underside of pump tunnel like the GP

Drive shaft is 20mm GP is 18mm

all outer areas of the pump are reinforced with ribs a little beefier than the GP

GPR Pump has stariner and inlet on the left side where the GP has it on the right

Gpr has larger pump bearings than the GP

The drive shaft in a GPR is several inches shorter than a GP

The rest is similar they both use similar intermediate shafts the couplers are identical

This is all I can think of right now.
