    Sea Doo Revised Supercharger Maintenance

    Good News from Sea-Doo.
    REVISED SUPERCHARGER SERVICE INTERVAL(2011 AND 2012MODELS)
    Due to the improved durability of the molybdenumcoated friction washer introduced in 2011,the maintenance interval has now been increasedto 200 hours, irrespective of the number of years.If a message displayed in the multifunction gaugeregarding the supercharger maintenance, pleasedisregard it.If a supercharger repair kit containing a molybdenumcoated friction washer was used to servicea watercraft prior to model-year 2011, the supercharger
    can be serviced at every 200 hours thereafter

    I don't know why they feel they need to change that.. Why not leave it at 100 for the people that just rec ride.. so at least it's checked. I thought 100 hrs was a long time.. 200 is crazy.. especially if you ride ocean or where you unhook all the time. I check mine often just for piece of mind.. modded or not.

    +1. I thought the bearings were the reason behind the 100 hour rebuild... Or else we could have just went 100 hours, changed the clutch washers and then got another 100.

    You may get away with it on a totally stock ski. Any mods forget about it.

    Sounds like they are realizing that the required 100 hr sc rebuild was hurting sales. It's all a numbers game.

    Just did the same thing with Bombardier CRJ-200 Planes. The air-frames had a 45k flight hour life span and they just sent out notice that the air-frames could now be flown up to 90k flight hours last year.

    Same name but the airplane side has nothing to do with rec vehicles anymore. Some of the guys I work with said before Bombardier split that they could get what ever toys they wanted at cost with 0% financing and the payments where payroll deducted. Must have been nice...

    i thought the washer change happened in 09? are 09/10 washers any different from 11/12?
