    Exclamation 2012 RXPX question

So I cralled under the ski to line up the nozzel so that I could adjust the steering. While down there, I noticed what looked like a very clean deep scratch in the hull on each side where the ride plate is mounted. These are perfectly straight, almost an eight of an inch deep, same width, and almost 3/4" long. It looks like a little of the black tar is in the white scratch but the scratch on the other side is covered in the tar. What does yours look like? See attached photo and tell me what you think.

The "black tar"... would it be sealant? Of course, that doesn't explain the gouges/scratches...???

Shipping crate damage would be my guess. Second thought: Could the IBR bucket do that.

Exactly. It just doesn't make any since. The one side of mine is clearly white which would make me think that this was milled or scratched right throught the paint. The other side had the sealant in it and I'm not going to try and wipe it out. If this is not supposed to be like this, I don't want the dealer trying to say I did it.
I'm going to be on the phone with them in the morning......

    I don't think so.

I also noticed the gouges that appear on both of your skis, yet you are half a continent apart: My guess is this has something to do w/production prior to being crated. I'm guessing it has nothing to do w/the dealer - I can't see different dealers both doing identical damage during the un-crate process.

What you say makes since, but these kind of markings just don't add up. Why would they mark the hull like that? Why hasn't anyone else posted on this? I can't be the only guy who noticed this while under the ski?
I DO hope it is supposed to be like this or I will be pissed. It will take some convincing to make me believe this is correct.
