    Beware of your warranty!!!!!!!!

    Here is a story for you.

    My buddy bought a ultra 250 in o7 from jet sports in long island, ny when they first came out. 5 year warranty. Rhode it for 2 seasons, and about 35 hours. Next season milkshake in the motor. Called jetsports and they said call us next week and maybe we can take it the. Well that was the story for about 2 months. One day we brought it out to them and the told us they wouldn't fix it. Mind you, 5 year warranty. He called Kawasaki and they said bring it somewhere else. Ok!!!

    We brought the ski to Long island Kawasaki. This was the summer of 2010. The ski is still sitting there with salt water in the motor, untouched. Every time he calls Kawasaki, they say they will call the dealer and get to the bottom of it. Now He has to get lawyer on it!!! Would you believe he is a highly decorated police officer.

    SOME SHIT!!!

    I'd put Suk-a-kawi on the hook for the bill for legal counsel, as well as a new motor, and 'pain & suffering'.

    I hate to say it, but he'll have to sue everyone involved to get Kawi to take some action. Their lawyers will know that there is no way for them to weasel out of this, or the bill - then he should see some things happen.

    That motor is toast!!!!! Is there any signs that something broke on the motor to cause there to be water inside??? Broken case's, blown head gasket, something like that. If not and it was injested somehow Kawai will not, repeat NOT take care of that under warranty. No manufacturer will, that is an owner responsability. You guys better make sure that it is truly the motor's/kawi's fault or you will just be wasting alot of time and money with lawyers and court because I'm sure it clearly states in the warranty that water injestion is not a covered problem.

    2007 250s were known to crack heads allowing water into the motor.....

    Yep. If it was their fault, I don't think Kawi wouldn't cover it anyway.
    We have more than one member who has been screwed by their so-called "Good Times" BS.

    jet sport can be like that... im friends with all the guys over with there... i bought my seadoo from them and ride with them all the time.... making an apointment with them can be a bitch sometimes but i have never had a problem with warranty work they did on both my kawi and seadoo

    We were friends with them too!!! At least it seemed that way when we were buying parts😔

    Ill have to say that Kawi stepped up on my 2007, as most know I had one of the most modded recreational 250s at the time......2 motors, a pump and a supercharger (all covered under warranty), they were done when the motor let go the last time....I can thank the Service Manager for not getting it warrantied the last time that was filling in for the Service Manager ( out of work due to a surgerey) that I had been dealing with for the last 15 yrs......
