    Looking to spend as little as possible of course. New or used I just need it to work prefect.

    I was told a 1050 would work but would have to be programmed ot work with my 1200 since the timing is different. I prefer one for my 2000 SLX 1200 so there wont be any problems.

    Buy an ignition update kit for a 1050. I did this to get a CDI for mine. The timing curve is less aggressive on the 1050 box, but it will work fine. I am running one in my Pro 1200. I asked about having the box reprogrammed, but I was told by the person that would do the programming of the box that it wasn't necessary to do. He could have taken my 150 bucks to program it, but told me I would be fine running it as is. And it was a very reputable person who told me this. You can find CDI boxes on ebay, but the ignition update kit is about the same price, and comes with a new stator as well, so you would have a spare, or you could sell the stator to get some of your money back. The update kits run around 350 bucks.

    Does it eliminate the CDI unit or is it included with the Update Kit?
    what do i search for on ebay fo this update kit?

    Upgrade kit 2873091 is available new from Polaris. It includes a new CDI and stator. Around 350 bucks. Pretty sure you would not notice a difference. I am running this CDI in my Pro 1200

    Yeah but i want o make sure I will be getting the full power of the ski when I do. My brother just picked up a modifed 900 and I cant let him beat me to the clam bar on Sundays :LOL....

    How modified is the 900?

    Im sorry Im taking up so much time, I just got to get this things going for the least amount possible or I need to dump it.
    What do you think about this setup for my 2000 Polaris SLX 1200? Its the Complete electrical box from a 1998 SLTX 1050 including spark plug wires. the only issue i see is that the box does not have the circuit board at least not in the photos.

    I dont know whats wrong at this point and since its not getting spark its either 1 of three things; stator, coil or CDI. For under $200 I can eliminate 2 of them with this setup if a 1998 1050 will for for my 1200

    That is the right CDI box. You could buy that. I saw in the one picture that it was 4010447 which is the updated CDI. I would jump on that one. Remove the CDI and install it in your box.
