    2006 rxp exhaust questions

I've spent a few days looking through threads about the exhaust on the rxp's. But, can someone sum up for me whether or not there is a simple way to get better sound from my ski? Not looking to drop big money on a waterbox or anything. Just wondering what it would sound like all stock if I removed the resonator? Thanks for any help.

either go free flow pipe or thru hull are your options..... thru hull is by far the best choice ... if you cant run a waterbox setup get the riva kit for the oem box... very throaty sound. im running it now until i can find a riva box come up in the classifieds

I figured thru hull was the best way to go, just kinda weary like everyone else about cutting a hole in my ski.

Not to steal the tread, I bought a used rude thru hull, I think. Any one know if the riva templet will work? The pipe is welded, it looks like a race tech kit

yes the riva temp will work... if there is any little difference the coupler going from the exhaust to the tip will flex for that... when i did mine i didnt use a template.. just measured 3 times then tapped off and drilled... works great...

A DIY free flow is my favorite option if you are on a tight budget and don't mind the drone in the 3k RPM range. Being able to make one for $35 or less and no extra hole in your hull are the two main advantages IMO.

Newbie question, how do you make a home made free flow?
