problem with an FZR 09'
Hello guys, hope you are all doing great. Well, today I was checking my friends FZR, he has a problem with the RPMs, the ski wont go past 5000 RPMs. Anyways, I checked the S/C oulet and there was no air at all, so I knew where I should look first, I went first with the clutch as I thought it might be gone, after all its ok and working very good. Then, I thought, may be, the S/C shaft is broken, so I got the S/C out and check it and it is ok as well. The oil level is ok as well. So guys, here is the whole story, any help would be very much appreciated. P.S. the ski is upgraded with Riva stage 1 kit ONLY.

check the throttle position sensor i know people with similar probs have found that to be faulty.

it also could be the TB, i dont know if FZ have Learner Mode on the Fob or Alarm System you might want to check that too. Also check for any Boost Leak

if everything else seems ok i will take it to a dealer and have them inspect the TB.

Ok i am sure u understand that the shupecharger should turn one way and not the other. Just in case.
There should be air coming out of the super charger at 5000 rpms quit a bit I would think.

Any chance that 09 has been sitting for extended period in a garage, with old gas and spark plugs? Sounds like a loose hose/boost leak somewhere. How did this problem start, was he working on it recently?
