What a PITA!
Well I did a bunch of mods today including the 3 degree key. Right before I put the pipe back on I noticed I had oil in the bottom of the hull. I didnt notice any loose lines but when I was feeling around in the oil I picked up a little black piece of metal that said muniki-(sp)? on it. The piece was obviously broken I just dont know from where yet. As far as I know though the only part on the ski thats made by muniki is the oil pump.
So it looks like I have a decision to make. Either find another oil pump or go premix. My only problem with premix is its such a hassle when refilling on the water or away from home. Is it worth it or should I find another pump?
Is premix ok to run through injectors on a regular basis or will it clog them eventually?

my riding buddy uses pre-mix on his 1400 and he uses exactly twice the oil (amzoil 25.00 gallon interceptor oil) that i do....which reminds me that i need to go get 4 gallons...1 for me and 3 for him....

Thanks guys, I was to frustrated last night to take it back apart to confirm the problem. I will check it out today and make sure its a pump I need.
I think I know were I screwed up. When I put the cover back on after the key install I dont remember if I turned it to match up the notch for the pump. So when I tightened it it propbably broke. My heater, compressor, and stereo were all running in the shop so I couldnt hear it when it did.
I have an 05, what year did yamaha go with the adjusting ratio pumps that works off the throttle like mine? (i know it was some time ago, just dont know when)
I guess the bright side is I noticed it before I got the whole thing back together and ran it without oil.

If it makes you feel any better, I know a couple of "do-it-yourselfers" that did the same thing, and broke the pump. I think the key is to install the cover, then install the pump... and like you said, make sure the notch lines up before you tighten it, and dont forget the gasket.
Also an FYI... the 1200 pump is different from the 1300 pump
