    homemade OPAS competition kit dimensions?

I bought a block off kit but want to try the homemade comp kit as well before completely removing them (family ski). Problem is I live across the state from where I keep my ski and my workship is here. Does anybody have the dimensions for making them out of PVC as has been discussed on here before? size pipe, length, size of slot cut, etc... Thanks guys.

The seadoo is on the other side of the state. I want to make them here and bring them to the lake house.

There is a set for sale right now in the classifieds. They are cheap or he may measure them for ya. I threw mine away or I would measure the gap for ya.

One of mine is at home somewhere, the one that didn't fall off. (the whole OPAS fin broke off one side and left a hole in the hull).

I'll measure it up tonight if you like and post the length but trust me when I say you are going to want the block offs installed. The things handle so much more consistently with those stupid fins removed, especially in the chop.

Plus, its going to be real hard to get a homemade set to clip on properly and stay on. The Riva ones are so hard to get on you almost need 2 people and a rubber mallet.

The PVC ones wont come off. They arent split up the side like the Rivas. You have to take it apart to slip the piece of pipe on...
