Question Venturi nozzle clearance issue with rideplate

2004 model RXP venturi nozzle (round on bottom, I guess some newer nozzles are flat). It is hitting on the stock ride plate and will require some grinding.

Has anyone else had this issue with a stock rideplate? I was aware of clearance issues with the addition of the Riva rideplate on the older RXP models, but not the stock plate.

Edit: found this thread on the subject in case anyone else is interested, but it mentions Riva plate. http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=114325

I'm not concerned about having to do some grinding. I guess my concern is that there is a possibility that the extension is angled down forcing the pump into the plate. This would angle the thrust down, forcing the bow down, and scrubbing speed. I guess I'll find out when I run it in a couple weeks.
